**Role Description** This part-time remote Scrum Master role supports educational and administrative projects by facilitating agile practices across distributed teams. The Scrum Master coordinates daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure clear communication and alignment on goals. This role helps refine and manage user stories and backlogs, removes impediments that affect team progress, and promotes continuous improvement in workflows. The Scrum Master collaborates with educators, administrators, and technical staff to ensure that software development and process enhancements support educational objectives. The role also includes tracking key metrics, coaching team members on agile principles, and ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are transparent and achievable.
**Qualifications**
* Candidates should possess strong Sprint Planning skills and experience facilitating agile ceremonies.
* Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify issues, and propose effective improvements.
* Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a remote setting.
* Candidates should possess experience with User Stories, including writing, refining, and managing backlogs.
* Candidates should possess familiarity with Software Development processes and collaborating with development teams.
* Relevant experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Team Facilitator, preferably in public sector, education, or similar environments.
* Knowledge of agile frameworks (such as Scrum or Kanban) and common tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar platforms).
* Ability to work independently, manage part-time schedules effectively, and collaborate across remote teams.
* Professional certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent is beneficial.
* Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, management, or a related field is preferred.
