As a Developer Productivity Engineer at Zeromatter, you'll accelerate innovation by building the tools and systems that empower our world-class engineering teams to ship revolutionary simulation technology faster. You'll design CI/CD pipelines, development environments, and automation frameworks that transform how our engineers build, test, and deploy cutting-edge features for autonomous systems. This role offers the unique opportunity to multiply the impact of every engineer at Zeromatter, creating the development infrastructure that enables us to push the boundaries of what's possible in simulation technology. **Responsibilities** -------------------- * Design and implement next-generation CI/CD pipelines that reduce build times and increase deployment velocity. * Build automated testing frameworks for validating simulation accuracy and performance. * Create development environments that mirror production complexity while maintaining rapid iteration speeds. * Develop intelligent build systems that optimize compilation and testing for our Rust-heavy codebase. * Implement comprehensive code quality and security scanning across all repositories. * Build deployment automation that enables safe, frequent releases to production environments. * Create developer tools and CLI utilities that streamline common engineering workflows. * Design metrics and dashboards that provide visibility into engineering productivity and system health. * Establish best practices for code review, testing, and deployment processes. * Build integration testing environments for validating cross-team feature development. * Automate dependency management and security patching across our technology stack. * Enable rapid experimentation through feature flags and progressive deployment strategies. **Qualifications** ------------------ * Engineering degree in a related field (e.g. computer science, software engineering) or equivalent working experience. * Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale. * Proficiency in multiple programming languages with emphasis on Rust, Python, and shell scripting. * Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies. * Experience with GitOps principles and infrastructure automation. * Strong knowledge of testing strategies including unit, integration, and performance testing. * Expertise in build optimization and dependency management for compiled languages. * Experience with observability tools and practices for development workflows. * Proficiency in both Linux and Windows development environments. * Bonus: Experience with GPU-accelerated application testing and deployment. * Bonus: Background in developer experience optimization for large engineering organizations. * Bonus: Knowledge of security scanning and compliance automation. * Bonus: Experience with monorepo management and building systems like Bazel.
