Company: Scicom Infrastructure Services, Inc.
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, enterprise-scale initiatives across engineering, infrastructure, and business teams. The role centers on project management leadership: planning, governance, risk management, and keeping stakeholders aligned. Familiarity with modern data and analytics platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake is a strong advantage, since many of our initiatives involve data platform implementations and migrations.
The ideal candidate takes projects from concept through execution and keeps cross-functional teams aligned. They are technical enough to work credibly with engineers and architects without needing to be one.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects, including platform implementations, migrations, and modernization efforts
Define scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and manage changes through a defined change control process
Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource plans
Identify risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints early, and drive mitigation to closure
Track budget and resource use against plan
Give stakeholders and executive leadership clear, regular status reports
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
Align engineering, analytics, infrastructure, security, and business teams around shared goals and priorities
Translate business needs into clear requirements, work breakdowns, and execution plans
Facilitate project meetings, sprint ceremonies, working sessions, and decision forums
Manage third-party vendors and consulting partners, including SOW deliverables and performance
Escalate issues with clear options and recommendations
Technical Collaboration
Act as the delivery liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders
Partner with engineers and architects to understand the solution design well enough to plan, sequence, and track the work
Ask the right questions to confirm that technical solutions meet business and functional requirements
Make sure technical decisions, dependencies, and tradeoffs are documented and communicated
Governance & Delivery Excellence
Establish and maintain project governance, standards, RAID logs, and documentation
Ensure projects meet security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
Run delivery with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods, whichever fits the work
Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in delivery practices
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience managing technical projects in enterprise environments
A proven track record of delivering complex, multi-workstream projects on time and within scope
Strong command of project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change management
Experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery, and with tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar
Enough technical fluency to work credibly with engineering teams on infrastructure, cloud, or data projects
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, including reporting to executives
Ability to manage competing priorities in complex, fast-moving environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience delivering data and analytics projects, such as platform implementations, migrations, or data warehouse modernization
Working understanding of big data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Spark/Hadoop ecosystems
Familiarity with data pipeline concepts (ETL/ELT), data warehousing, and lakehouse architecture
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Awareness of data governance, data quality, and metadata management practices
PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or similar certifications (Databricks or Snowflake certifications a plus)
Experience in regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare
What Success Looks Like
Projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business outcomes
Stakeholders are engaged, informed, and confident in delivery progress
Risks and dependencies are raised early and managed proactively
Technical and business teams work with clear priorities and shared accountability
Delivery practices get better with each project
