JOB TITLE: Test/Validation Engineer (PowerTrain)
This is a powertrain durability support engineering role with leading Cargo Van company.
MUST HAVES:• Bachelors in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical, or a related engineering field.• 3+ yrs of light-duty engine or powertrain development, including combustion, emissions control, OBD, drivability, calibration, or durability testing.• 2+ yrs pre-test performance and functionality checks, including review of diagnostic data, fault memory, readiness, drivability, and vehicle condition.• 1+ yr test progress, vehicle usage, driver feedback, downtime, and deviations from the approved test plan• 1+ yr Documentation of issue history, analysis, decisions, countermeasures, and validation results• 1+ yr Tools: INCA and MATLAB/Simulink• Proficiency with CAN bus systems OR ECU communication OR powertrain and drivetrain systems OR vehicle diagnostic processes
ROLE ELIGIBILITY:• Locations- Ann Arbor, MI OR Atlanta, GA (Hybrid 4-days onsite, 1-day Remote)• Work Authorization- No H1B
INTERVIEWING PROCESS:• Step 1- 1-hr Hiring Manager Interview• Step 2- 1-hr Panel Interview
AVAILABLE PAYMENT TERMS:• Contract Type – W2, C2C, OR 1099
DURATION:• Months/Years- 12+ Months, high likelihood for Extension or Conversion
