About the Role
The Engineering & Systems Plant is seeking an experienced Electronic Systems Development Lead to lead multidisciplinary hardware development processes, from initial requirements definition through design, testing, and transition to production.
The role involves working with multiple engineering and operational disciplines while ensuring compliance with stringent quality, reliability, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary activities and interfaces across Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software, FPGA, Integration, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality Assurance.
* Lead Design Reviews, risk management processes, and engineering decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with performance, cost, weight, power consumption, and schedule targets.
* Lead failure investigation processes and environmental testing, including EMC/EMI, vibration, thermal shock, and reliability testing.
* Collaborate with development, manufacturing, procurement teams, and customers.
* Take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from requirements definition, design, simulations, and testing through transfer to production and operational deployment.
* Provide matrix leadership of subcontractors, suppliers, and technology partners.
Requirements
**Must-Have:**
* B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering – mandatory.
* Proven experience in hardware development, from requirements definition through mass production.
* At least 3 years of experience in matrix management of development teams.
* Strong technical capabilities.
* Excellent Hebrew and English communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
**Advantages:**
* M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
* Experience writing specifications, technical requirements, and test documentation.
* Experience in the defense or space industries.
* Familiarity with manufacturing technologies, SMT production lines, and electronic assembly processes.
