**Role Description** The Fraud Risk Analyst / Financial Crime Analyst role is a part-time remote position focused on identifying, assessing, and monitoring fraud and financial crime risks across digital platforms and AI-related workflows. In this role, the analyst reviews transactional and behavioral data, conducts risk assessments, and develops scenarios and indicators to detect suspicious activity. The person in this role will prepare clear reports, document findings, and recommend control improvements to reduce exposure to fraud and financial crime. Day-to-day work includes analyzing trends, collaborating with internal stakeholders to refine risk criteria, staying current on regulatory expectations, and supporting the design of safeguards that align with evolving AI practices. The role also involves contributing to best practices and knowledge resources for fraud prevention and risk management.
**Qualifications**
* Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Risk Analysis capabilities to evaluate complex data, identify patterns, and assess fraud and financial crime exposure.
* Candidates should possess Finance and Statistics skills to understand transactional flows, quantify risk, and support data-driven recommendations.
* Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present findings clearly, write concise reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Candidates should possess familiarity with financial crime concepts, fraud detection tools, and basic regulatory and compliance principles.
* Relevant experience in risk management, fraud analysis, compliance, or a related financial services role is beneficial.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours responsibly, and adapt to new AI-driven tools and methodologies.
